Notice: No statute specifically governs rent-increase notice; a month-to-month tenancy can be changed only by ending it on at least 30 days’ notice before the end of a monthly period.
Rent control: Local governments may not adopt or maintain rent control (Fla. Stat. § 125.0103(2)), and the state preempts local regulation of residential tenancies (Fla. Stat. § 83.425).
