Ohio rent increase notice

Ohio landlords must give at least 30 days’ notice before raising the rent on a month-to-month tenancy. There’s no statewide rent control.

Notice: No rent-increase statute; changing a month-to-month tenancy’s rent requires the same 30-day notice as terminating it.
Rent control: No statewide cap on increases, and political subdivisions may not impose rent control or rent stabilization (Ohio Rev. Code § 5321.19).
