Oklahoma security deposit law

Oklahoma landlords have 45 days to return a security deposit after you move out. State law sets no limit on the amount.

Within 45 days after termination, delivery of possession, and the tenant’s written demand; if the tenant makes no written demand within 6 months, the deposit reverts to the landlord.
Interest
Deposit must be kept in an escrow account with a federally insured institution in Oklahoma, but the balance is returned without interest.
Deductions
The landlord must give you an itemized list of anything kept from the deposit.
If it isn’t returned
Tenant may recover the deposit and any prepaid rent; no statutory multiplier. Misappropriating escrowed deposits is a misdemeanor (up to 6 months jail and a fine up to twice the amount).
