South Dakota rent increase notice

South Dakota landlords must give at least 30 days’ notice before raising the rent on a month-to-month tenancy. There’s no statewide rent control.

Notice: Written notice at least 30 days before the end of the month; the tenant may then end the lease effective the first of the next month by giving notice within 15 days of receiving it.
Rent control: No statewide rent control or cap on increases.
