- 3 days’ written notice to vacate before filing, unless the lease sets a shorter or longer period; for a tenant not previously late, it must be a notice to pay rent or vacate.

- Same 3-day notice to vacate for a tenant in default, unless the lease sets another period; no statutory cure period. Month-to-month figure is ‘one month after notice’ (not a fixed 30 days); week-to-week equals one rental period. A signed agreement may set different periods.
