Wisconsin rent increase notice

Wisconsin landlords must give at least 28 days’ notice before raising the rent on a month-to-month tenancy. There’s no statewide rent control.

Notice: No rent-increase statute; a month-to-month rent change effectively requires the 28-day notice used to end the tenancy.
Rent control: State law bars cities, villages, towns, and counties from regulating the amount of rent or fees (Wis. Stat. § 66.1015).
