Oregon rent increase notice

Oregon landlords must give at least 90 days’ notice before raising the rent on a month-to-month tenancy. Oregon also limits how much the rent can go up each year for many units.

Notice: No increase in the first year of a tenancy and no more than once per 12 months; 90 days’ written notice (7 days for week-to-week).
Rent control: Statewide cap of 7% + CPI or 10%, whichever is lower (9.5% for 2026; the state has published 10% for 2027). Units whose first certificate of occupancy is under 15 years old and certain regulated affordable units are exempt; violations cost 3 months’ rent plus damages.
